Confession without Regret!

The last precursor for the upcoming new album “Wisdom & Failure”: The “Confession EP” brings three new songs that show the bands’ variety + three new remixes.

The title song “Confession“ deals with a confession without regret or remorse: „I know what I have done wrong, but can’t regret it or beg for forgiveness. It can’t be undone. So all that is left is to confess, draw a line under it and go on with my life – maybe a new life,” says Chris Wirsig, main songwriter of the pair, about the new song. Singer Cynthia Wechselberger adds: “You confess your faults and then leave the other one – as you know that you can’t stay after this confession.”

Stylistically “Confession” dwells in the field of Synthpop/Electropop, the second new song “Hero To A Fool” surprises with acoustic elements – from tuba to clarinette – but still is electronic. “The lyrics are socio-critical. Sadly we are really living in a time where the dumbest man can look like a hero to a fool, as it is said in the song,” says Chris about it. “A Bright Room” is the most experimental song of the three new works. Feverish surrealistic lyrics just like from a dream (or nightmare), angelic choirs, deep bass. A perfect soundtrack for the next dark mystery thriller…

The EP is rounded off by three remixes, once again produced by Mike S.: Two remixes of the titlesong “Confession” and one remix of the older song “And Sometimes” that can be heard in its original form on the debut album “My Own Dream”.

Track Name: Confession - Single-Mix
I know you’re not a fool
But it worked for quite a while
You say that you can’t understand
How you believed in all my lies

I know it wasn’t fair
I’m not proud of me today
But I travelled down this road
The milk is spilled anyway

I don’t know what I was thinking
It’s too late
I can’t say I’m sorry
It would be fake

I can’t undo the things I’ve done
All I’ve said and what went wrong
I’m standing here, all accused
My alibi is of no use anymore

I know it’s much too late
For me to try to explain
What I did was so wrong
And I’m the only one to blame

I’ll sign my resignation
Kind of my last will
Will be cast into damnation
After I have paid my bill

I don’t know what I was thinking
It’s too late
I can’t say I’m sorry
It would be fake

I can’t undo the things I’ve done
All I’ve said and what went wrong
I’m standing here, all accused
My alibi is of no use anymore

I can’t travel to the past and make undone
The things I’ve said and what went wrong
I can’t get off this train of racing thoughts
I missed the station long ago
Now it’s too late for tell and show
I just can’t offer no excues
My alibis are overused
Track Name: Hero To A Fool
Looking around you surely will see
That there is no golden rule
We’re living in a world where the dumbest man
Can look like a hero to a fool

Thinking about it won’t change a thing
And in the process you could go mad
As hard as you try to breath some life
Mankinds brain won’t get back from the dead

Looking around you surely will see
That there is no golden rule
We’re living in a world where the dumbest man
Can look like a hero to a fool

Trying to change the ways of thought
Is like resurrecting the dead
Nobody ever won’t give a damn
And you will slowly turn your head away

Looking around you surely will see
That there is no golden rule
We’re living in a world where the dumbest man
Can look like a hero to a fool
