Let Me Walk Alone

from Wisdom & Failure by no:carrier

about

Being strong is a big deal in Let Me Walk Alone, probably the most clubby and EBM/Techno-rooted song on the album. It’s about going your own way, even if friends leave you. Going it alone, no matter what. Not hesitating, opening doors and breaking through walls, even if this might be painful for oneself.

lyrics

I can see beyond time, I can step over this line
I won’t walk the narrow path you’ve laid for me
I can change my ways, I can breathe for days
I won’t starve from the moment you walk away from me
and try to understand I have to break free

I won’t stop at the gate, I’m keen to walk in
I will try this way no mattter how I’ve sinned
and I will go all the way
even if you let me walk alone

I can hear the call, I can break the wall
I won’t stop to live my life even if they tell me so
I can watch you fall, I can’t catch you all
but I’ll try to come again and soothe your bleeding wounds
try to understand I have to break free

I won’t stop at the door, I’m keen to see
I will try this out no mattter what will be
and I will go all the way
even if you let me walk alone
