A flow-of-consciousness poem written some years ago. In a way it sums up the whole album metaphorically – with the two girls called Wisdom and Failure. You can’t follow them both at the same time, but you probably can’t avoid both of them either. You always will get at least some wisdom and you might always have some failure in your life.
But it’s also about letting go of your ego, following your intuition. Part of it is quite spiritual.

try to follow one of the two girls
they are called Wisdom and Failure
no one ever could please them both
no on ever could escape them though

try to follow one of the two paths until you reach the end
they lead to strange places you’ve never been before
curses flare through the mists of the forest
sounding like guns shooting a salute to a long forgotten leader

he died in the attempt to unite the divided egos
and so the egos went on to fight for some more decades
he died in the attempt to get some peace of mind
so he walked out of the circle and stepped into the next

try to follow one of the two girls
they are called Wisdom and Failure
no one ever could please them both
no on ever could escape them though

like the lizard king once left this world
or at least his past existence
the riders on the storm made no big deal about it
gone – forever
